I have been a licensed Life Insurance agent (#0624264) in California since 1982, and for many years was also a Registered Representative with the NASD. In the late 80’s I was the top selling investment advisor for a large southwest regional bank. I'm proud to say that I have never had a single complaint ever filed against me with the State or any company.
I don't know where the years went, but I now have 32 years of experience as a Savings and Retirement Advisor - the past 27 years as an Independent Agent - assisting Educators and Seniors with their qualified plan (403b) savings and comprehensive planning for retirement, with both insurance and securities products. My peers tell me I'm “annoyingly fastidious” about making sure the numbers work, abiding by the letter and spirit of all tax and other product regulations, and doing what is “right” for the client.
Through the years of continued study, experience and collaboration with other planners, accountants and attorneys I have acquired a wealth of knowledge on the things we all need to do to prepare for “peace of mind” retirement. This book is the inside ‘scoop’ on what many financial advisors consider to be the most tax advantageous way there is for the typical middle class couple ‘next door’ to save for retirement -- AND that most people have NO idea even exists!
Also, I'm a California native, and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia, regarded as one of the top business schools in the world. I've since made my home in Oceanside, CA for almost thirty years. My community involvement includes serving as (Past) President of the San Diego UBC alumni chapter, President of my HOA and Toastmaster Governor for N. San Diego County.
